Pyramids

The Ancient Egyptians built pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs and their queens. The pharaohs were buried in pyramids of many different shapes and sizes from before the beginning of the old kingdom to the end of the middle kingdom. The three best-preserved of these were built in Giza at the beginning of the old kingdom. The most well known of these pyramids was built for the pharaoh Khufu. It is known as ‘Great Pyramid.

Nile River

The Nile River creates fertile green valley across the desert.The Nile River is about 6,670 km in length. It is the longest river in Africa. The Nile River flooded every year between June and September. The largest source of the Nile River is Lake Victoria. Also Nile River flows into the Mediterranean Sea.

Farming

Most villagers were farmers. The Egyptians grew their crops along the banks of the Nile River on the rich black soil. The farmers in Egypt grew crops such as wheats, barley, figs, melons, vegetables, pomegranates and vines. They also grew flax which was made into linen.

Maths

Walt: reflect on my basic facts assessment

In stage 5, I got 98% out 100% in Maths. I didn’t really find anything challenging. I only got 1 wrong in multiplication. But thats only 1. In stage 5 I got full marks in addition, subtraction and division. Stage 5 was easy. But I’m sure stage 6 is gonna be a little bit complex. I am aiming to go to stage 6 and get a 100% in stage 6.

Mum Stepped ...

Mum stepped out of the aeroplane with Kyle and Stevie. When mum stepped out of the aeroplane she felt excited to go home. But Kyle and Stevie wasn’t excited to go home because they didn't want to come back.

While Mum, Kyle and Stevie stepped out of the aeroplane Mum she assumed and felt something was wrong. But then she kept on walking. The manager of the aeroplane was looking inside and out to see if the people were all out of the aeroplane. Suddenly the manager was looking at this random big black thing. The manager didn’t know what it was so he stood up and check what it was. Then the manager said “Oh! It’s a suitcase”. The manager didn’t know what to do with it and he wondered who suitcase it was. After a few minutes later Mum noticed that she left one of her suitcase in the aeroplane. She told her kids to “Stay here I’ll be back in 5 minutes”. Stevie said “Ok but be fast”. Kyle said “Ok”.

Mum looked at the aeroplane to see if the aeroplane was still there. Luckily the aeroplane was still there. Mum walked inside the aeroplane slowly. She saw that the manager took her suitcase. Mum said “Excuse me, thats my suitcase” The manager looked at Mum and said “Oh! Here you go” The manager delivered her suitcase back. “Thank you” said Mum. Then she stepped out of the aeroplane slowly and went straight to Kyle and Stevie.

Stevie saw mum walking, “Finally!” Shouted Stevie. “Where did you go?” Asked Kyle. “I went to get my suitcase in the aeroplane.” Answered Mum. “That tooked you so long.” Said Kyle. “Lets go back home now” When mum said that, Kyle and Stevie’s face weren’t happy. When ever mum looks at them they pretend to be happy.

Speed Addition

Walt: solve problems in a combination of operations

This game is called Speed Addition. I had to answer 8 questions in 2 minutes. The last question was easy. I know the work out for the last question. It is 10+5=15 the I added 3 which is 18. This game is simple.

Crops

This picture is a basket of crops grown by Ancient Egypt. Inside the basket there are Dates, figs, melons, cucumbers, onions, leeks and lettuces, wheat's, barley and grapes.

Should Soft Drugs Be Decriminalized

I assume that bad drugs should never excised because It makes you high, It makes your brain stupid, Its not healthy, and Its not good for you. In my family nobody has taken a bad drug before. I really hate the smell of the smoke because It gives me a headache and It sometimes make me wanna vomit. I only take the medicine drugs like when ever I’m sick. When parents smokes in front of their kids and children Its bad for the kids because sometimes they can get asthma. Therefore drugs should be Decriminalized.

Sphinx

The Great Sphinx Of Giza

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a statue of a reclining or couchant Sphinx. The Sphinx has been a symbol of Egypt from ancient times to the present. The Sphinx of Giza is an immense stone sculpture of a creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. The Sphinx sits in a shallow depression to the south of the pyramid of the Pharaoh Khafre at the west bank of the Nile River near the city of Cairo. The Sphinx is part of a complex of structures that also contains the Sphinx temple. In 1798 when Napoleon came to Egypt the Sphinx was buried in sand up to its neck. Between 1816 and 1858 a series of adventure antiquarians including Giovanni Caviglia, Auguste Mariette and Gaston Maspero attempted to clear the sand from the body of the Sphinx but were each forced to abandon the project due to the enormous amount of sand.

Walt: write the story of Tutankhamun

Tutankhamun was one of the most popular Pharaohs in Ancient Egypt. He ruled Egypt from 1333 BC to 1324 BC. Tutankhamun was only eight or nine years old when he became ruler of Egypt. Tutankhamun's dad is Akhenaten and mum Nefertiti.  

Tutankhamun died when he was eighteen years old. It is believed that he suffered a blow to the back of the head. It is also believed that his leg was fractured which It became infected. Those were the two popular theories about his death.

Tutankhamun’s tomb was very small because he was of slight build. In the tomb was gold jewellery. Tutankhamun’s tomb is found in the Valley of the Kings at Luxor of Egypt. He was  well nourished. Also his famous burial mask is found in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

This game is about testing my time tables. I know that 4 times 5 is 20 because I know my 5 timetables. Also I know that 3 times 4 is 12 because also I know my 3 timetables. This game wasn’t difficult for me, It was simple. Next I would want to learn angles.
