Chant for Glen Innes School
We are green
we have scenes.
Our school has a pool
because we’re cool.
We are the leaders
and we’re readers.
The sun is bright
And room 11 is always right.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 11 and my teacher is Mrs Ramkolowan.

Survey and Report

A few weeks ago I carried out my survey and asked Glen Innes students what is your favourite food to eat? I approached the student personally. 25 students were surveyed.
I used excel to draw my 3 D graph. My data was represented in a column graph.
I revealed that most student like to eat butter chicken. Other was second and kebabs was third. The least popular is hot chips and sausages.
I think that the students like butter chicken the most because it is scrumptious and it’s got chicken and curry.

Technology

Technology
This Monday we were learning to construct a joint. We travel by bus. We always come with a pencil.
The teacher’s name is Mr. Grundy, he told us safety rules in his workshop. The first rule is no fiddling which stands for keep working. The second rule is to wear closed shoes or you will end up in hospital. The last rule is stools in, which also stands chairs in. We were measuring the wood blocks. I used a try square to keep the lines straight. When I enter the workshop, it feels like I’m training to fix vehicles, but I was creating things with woods and materials. I am creating a recipe holder.
In my opinion the hardest part in technology was to saw the wood straight. The easiest part in technology was to draw my idea. I really enjoyed learning safety rules and drawing some of my ideas.
