Dear room 6
Thank you for telling half of room 11 all about you. It was awesome socialising you. Room 6 you are kind and fantastic and also funny. Also thank you room 6 for teaching us the ukulele. It was delectable having a new person teaching me. Now I know how to play a ukulele. When I did not know how to play a ukulele I’ve always wanted to play an ukulele but It came true. When I played the ukulele my hand was a bit sore. But it's ok now. You are best at teaching ukulele with us.
FINALLY I know how to play an ukulele.
Yours sincerely

Netbook Refection 2012
The last 2 terms it had been fun sharing with others about what we have learnt with our netbooks.
I practise maths by going on, XI Teach, math games and by going on the web activities. In writing my netbook helps me by fixing my mistakes. I go on others blogs to know all about them and find out their learning.
The netbook distracts me when I go on games. I disliked it when the netbook wireless Internet is not connecting because I'm offline. I dislike it when I'm addicted to my netbook because I will be off task.
For next year I would want to achieve higher at my basic facts, spelling and create more movies.

Chant for G.I.S
Chant for Glen Innes School
We are green
we have scenes.
Our school has a pool
because we’re cool.
We are the leaders
and we’re readers.
The sun is bright
And room 11 is always right.

Survey and Report

A few weeks ago I carried out my survey and asked Glen Innes students what is your favourite food to eat? I approached the student personally. 25 students were surveyed.
I used excel to draw my 3 D graph. My data was represented in a column graph.
I revealed that most student like to eat butter chicken. Other was second and kebabs was third. The least popular is hot chips and sausages.
I think that the students like butter chicken the most because it is scrumptious and it’s got chicken and curry.

Technology

Technology
This Monday we were learning to construct a joint. We travel by bus. We always come with a pencil.
The teacher’s name is Mr. Grundy, he told us safety rules in his workshop. The first rule is no fiddling which stands for keep working. The second rule is to wear closed shoes or you will end up in hospital. The last rule is stools in, which also stands chairs in. We were measuring the wood blocks. I used a try square to keep the lines straight. When I enter the workshop, it feels like I’m training to fix vehicles, but I was creating things with woods and materials. I am creating a recipe holder.
In my opinion the hardest part in technology was to saw the wood straight. The easiest part in technology was to draw my idea. I really enjoyed learning safety rules and drawing some of my ideas.

A big appreciation for parents
Dear Parents
Thank you for buying Jalal and I a netbook. I’ve always wanted a netbook but my dream came true.
In maths my netbook could help me on my divisions and fractions by going on mathzone or by going on maths games or even by going on online eduss.
In reading my netbook could help me on my comprehension when I am reading online stories. For writing my netbook could help me when I am in word and type faster.
I will take care of it, be responsible and respectful and make sure it is safe. So thank you and I really really really appreciate it.
